AnyDesk 6.4.0 for Raspberry Pi: Key Features, Bug Fixes, and UI Enhancements

On December 10, 2024, AnyDesk released version 6.4.0 for Raspberry Pi, introducing significant new features and important bug fixes. One of the standout enhancements is the migration from GTK2 to GTK3, which boosts performance and enhances the overall aesthetics of the application.

Several key issues have also been addressed, including:

  • The acceptance window that could be controlled remotely without the appropriate permissions.
  • Audio transmission that occurred even when it was disabled in the corresponding settings.
  • A memory leak problem during incoming sessions.
  • Address book-related errors, such as the need to restart in order to see new contacts and the recreation of deleted entries that caused unexpected application crashes.

Furthermore, user interface issues were also tackled, such as the lack of borders on the screen when using secondary monitors and the incorrect display of icons in the toolbar during outgoing sessions.

User experience improvements are also evident in the closed session dialogues. In summary, this update not only introduced significant enhancements in the stability and functionality of AnyDesk but also improved the overall usability of the application.
