AnyDesk Linux Update 7.0.0: New User Account Feature and Major Bug Fixes Released

On April 16, 2025, AnyDesk rolled out a significant update to its Linux version 7.0.0, introducing a host of new features alongside substantial bug fixes.

One of the highlighted new features is the User Account functionality, which empowers users to manage their access more efficiently than ever before.

In terms of bug fixes, a wide array of issues were addressed, including:

  • Resolved security vulnerabilities that enhance user protection.
  • A fix for a bug that obstructed the successful activation of AnyDeskOne.
  • Issues that previously caused logouts of outgoing sessions when signing out from the remote side have been rectified.
  • User Interface (UI) glitches that ignored system scaling settings have been fixed.
  • A bug within privacy mode that could lead to disruptions in the X11 session has also been corrected.
  • Problems related to active connections while the device was in sleep mode have been resolved.
  • Errors encountered when closing the acceptance window on the LXQt login screen and when removing unattended access passwords via command line have been addressed.
  • Additionally, user experience enhancements include improved visual feedback when registering a license and greater visibility of the privacy mode status indicator.

Minor tweaks to the interface have also been implemented, alongside the removal of outdated features, such as the ‘Alternate Wallpaper’. All these improvements contribute to a smoother and more secure experience for AnyDesk users on Linux.
