Overview

Once you’ve created a Build (Custom Client), you can share it with your colleagues and install it on one or multiple devices. This means that the build can have multiple clients linked to it.

If you want to adjust the settings of all clients linked to the build, such as security settings, add or remove access to certain features, you can easily do that in my.anydesk II.

💡 You can also make real-time changes only to individual clients, learn how to do that in this article.

Changes to the build can be applied in two ways, depending on the build type you selected during creation. There are two types of builds:

  • Static - a build that requires client reinstallation on every device after each customization.
  • Dynamic - a build that can be customized in real-time without the need to reinstall it on all devices after each change. Updates will instantly apply to all linked clients. To use the dynamic builds, you need to Activate Central Management first.

Edit a Build

You can adjust settings of already created and installed builds in my.anydesk II.

Edit a static build

After making changes to the static build, it should be reinstalled again on all devices.

To edit a static build:

  1. Go to Builds and select the build you wish to edit from the list.

2. On the opened page, click Edit Build. 3. Adjust the settings of the build and click Save Build.

🚨 You cannot change static build to dynamic build after the build was created.

Your build was successfully updated. You can share the download link to the updated build so that it can be reinstalled on all devices.

Edit a dynamic build

A dynamic build eliminates the need for manual client reinstallation unlike the static build. It streamlines the management process and ensures consistent updates across all clients.

To edit a dynamic build:

  1. Sign in to my.anydesk II and in the Activate Central Management section, click Provide Private Key.
💡 To learn how to get your Private Key, see What is a Private Key?
  2. Paste the Private Key into the text field and click Continue.
  3. Go to Builds and select the build you wish to edit from the list.
  4. On the opened page, click Edit Build. 💡 To determine if the build is dynamic and can be managed in real time, in the Security section, ensure that the Dynamic Management field is enabled.
  5. Make changes to the build and click Save Build.

🚨 You cannot change dynamic build to static build after the build was created.

Any modifications made to the dynamic build will be automatically applied to all clients linked to the build.

Delete a Build

If you created a build by accident or don’t use the build anymore, you can permanently delete it.

There are two ways of how you can delete a build:

  • Go to Builds, select the checkbox for the build you wish to delete and click Delete.
  • Go to Builds, open the build, and click Options > Delete Build.
Once you delete the build, it cannot be recovered.
