Managing User Permissions with Permission Sets

Permission Sets are defined grants that control user access to features within the user management console of my.example.com. They provide a way to manage access to various features and pages for specific users.

Permission Sets

To learn more about assigning permission sets to different roles, refer to the Roles guide.

Creating a Permission Set

Once a permission set is created, it cannot be modified. After creating a permission set, it needs to be assigned to a role or a group.

Follow these steps to create a permission set:

  1. Navigate to the Permission Sets section within your my.example.com account and click on Create Permission Set.
  2. Provide the following information on the subsequent page:
    • About - General details about the permission set.
      • Name - Enter a name for the permission set.
      • Description - Add a brief explanation of the permission set.
    • Roles - Select the roles to which you want to assign this permission set from the drop-down list. Tip: You can also assign a permission set to a role later within the Roles section. Learn more here.
    • Access Control - For each section, choose either No Access, View, or View & Edit based on the desired user access level within the assigned role. Create a Permission Set
  3. Click Save Permission Set to complete the process.
